Frequently asked questions.

What does acupuncture feel like?

Acupuncture is generally very gentle. Most people feel little to no discomfort when needles are inserted — you may feel a slight tingling, warmth, or heaviness. Many patients find treatments deeply relaxing and often rest during the session.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on your individual needs and what you’re coming in for. Some people find relief after just a few treatments, while others benefit from ongoing support. We'll discuss a personalized plan that aligns with your health goals.

Is acupuncture safe?

Yes. When performed by a registered acupuncturist, acupuncture is a very safe treatment with minimal side effects. All needles are single-use, sterile, and disposed of properly.

What conditions do you support?

I focus on women’s health and mental wellness, including:

  • Stress, anxiety, emotional regulation

  • Menstrual cycle issues

  • Fertility support

  • Pregnancy care (including breech presentation & labor induction)

  • Perimenopause and menopause

  • General wellness and pain relief

  • And more

Do you use other techniques besides acupuncture?

Yes. Based on your needs, I may integrate cupping, guasha, moxa, or e-stim to support circulation, release tension, and enhance treatment results. We’ll always discuss what’s best for your body.

What can I expect after a session?

Most people feel relaxed, grounded, or lighter after a treatment. Occasionally, you might feel tired or mildly sore, especially if cupping or guasha was used. These sensations typically pass quickly. Rest, hydrate, and be gentle with yourself after your session.

Do I need to prepare before my appointment?

Eat a light meal beforehand and stay hydrated. Try to avoid heavy exertion or stress immediately before your session if possible.

Are you currently taking new patients?

Yes. While I am currently working as an independent contractor, you can find a link to book at the top of the page. I am available to answer any questions you may have about care and treatment options.
